The Next Chapter

Artistic expression in my life is what I would call a spiritual experience.  When I'm creating, whether it's writing here, at the fan page on Facebook, taking photographs or creating art there is a connection with the Universe that can't really be explained other than to say it's the highest of highs.  It's as if an invisible energy is flowing through me onto the keys, the paper, the sketchbook or the easel.  It used to be that I didn't indulge in this communion with source.  Sadly, for many years this part of me was switched off as I navigated day-to-day living and survival.

Today however the switch is gratefully on.  What I love to do here as Knowing I've now learned is truly channeling through automatic writing.  While at first this realization frightened me, the more I grew to understand it, the more I welcomed the same into my life.  There is a humbleness in being a vehicle in which the Universe uses to connect with others.  I am always quick to say in conversations "this isn't me sharing by the way" or "you know this isn't me talking right?"  The fear of the unknown in this area of my life washed away as sand is reclaimed by the ocean in the tide.  My heart is connected with my head and both flow freely and without effort into all that is.

As the journey continues forward, it is my hope to share more here regarding this process, including the artistic expressions that I've been developing and delving into head first as of late.  I have had a very strong desire to pick up the paintbrush  the pencil and the chalk to create.  The seeds of these mediums are not only in my DNA from my wonderfully gifted artist mother, but they're almost primal, compelled in nature from beyond my being.  Lets just put it this way, if I don't do it, I'll be miserable.

I'm even going so far as to redo the layout of my home in order to prepare a studio to create in.  A place where I write (although those of you who know me in real life understand I write anywhere when inspired to do the same), draw, paint, sew, read and meditate.  An extension of the beauty around me in the mountains of Virginia, a place where the earth flows in and energy is charged.  I'm excited about this next chapter of life and look forward to sharing with you the same.

Love & Light,
Nita
